Why Our Members Love NSBE

NSBE is truly something special. I came in to college undeclared with no idea of what I wanted to major in. I came to NSBE because I spoke to some upperclassman who had a great energy and said I should come. The first meeting that I came to was a very positive experience for me. I felt welcomed and seen in that space I immediately knew this was somewhere I wanted to find coma community. I’ve only been with NSBE for a year but they have helped me build the confidence to pursue a major in Data Science and successfully land an internship my freshman year. I’m very grateful for the impact that NSBE has had on me in just a year and I can’t wait to pay it forward to all that come after me.

NSBE is a community that has given me further insight on the importance of diversity and representation in the workforce, and has consistently served as an example of how such things ultimately enrich collectives, even those otherwise considered homogenous.

NSBE provided a space for me to learn and connect with other high achieving individuals who look just like me and/or have a similar background. It provided another family for me to lean on and focus on outside of the classroom. It has exposed me to professional development and the importance of it.

Nsbe has impacted me greatly by offering me many different career opportunities such as the nationals conference and networking at night! Connecting and talking with those companies could not have been done without NSBEs connections!

As a first generation college student, NSBE has provided me with the knowledge and resources to confidently prepare for a career in tech and feel supported along the way. It has eased any uncertainty I have about about my career path and has allowed me to create friendships that will last a lifetime.

NSBE had made my transition into college very smooth and enjoyable. It has allowed me to meet so many like minded people who truly care for me. It has also opened a plethora of doors for all of us to kickstart our careers. I believe NSBE is an essential resource for all black students and would recommend to it everyone!
